The Bagiya Handmade Tapestry exhibits happiness and peace with soothing floral designs. It is made from pure sturdy khadi cotton handloom and is naturally plant-dyed. The brilliance of the marsala shade comes from Kotpad weave and the local aul tree bark extracts used for dyeing. It features the Sholapith art adorning the tapestry with delicate lily flowers, made by meticulously collecting tree sap to make the 3D flowers. The base fabric is a Kotpad Weave handloom and is embellished with white cotton thread embroidery. It is a three-dimensional tapestry held by natural teakwood rods in scroll form and held by braided jute rope - a delicate and prized possession of any art lover!

Handmade in 210 hours

1. The raw materials in this piece are made by National and Padma Shri awardee artisans.
2. The art form of Kotpad weave is unique for its motif and brilliant shades of red from the local aul plant.
3. Sholapith flowers depend on availability of tree sap.
