The Utkala Handmade Set is a one of our signature pieces in the collection. It is a two-piece blouse and skirt with inflated balloon sleeves, adjustable strings at the back and waist and delicate challas finishing the skirt.
This cotton fabric is hand-spun, handwoven and natural plant dyed using Aul tree extracts in Kotpad weave from Odisha. This particular piece in sienna and unbleached cotton shade adorns fishes woven with extra weft, patterned with fishes moving in opposite direction adding an element to the design. The balloon sleeves are made with unbleached finest cotton yarns into a Kota Doria weave from Rajasthan. The shear and fine checkered weave of Kota Doria gives an appeal to the balloon sleeves.
